International Gold Medal Winning Novelist!

"Novels Full of Hopes, Dreams, Challenges and Fears That Make Us Human"

Welcome to JTBookAuthor!

Julius Thompson grew up in the Bedford-Stuyvesant section of Brooklyn, New York and attended Bushwick High School.
The sixties in Brooklyn was an era that had a personality, a feel, and a life-force that changed a generation.
Mr. Thompson felt this energy and experienced these fires of social change.

Mr. Thompson's journey to compose a trilogy began in 1995. The fictional journey of character Andy Michael Pilgrim from Brooklyn, to Philadelphia and finally Atlanta is complete.
In this pilgrimage, readers experience places that are filled with hopes, dreams, challenges and fears that make us human. The novels that make up the trilogy are A Brownstone in Brooklyn, Philly Style and Philly Profile and The Ghost of Atlanta. Mr. Thompson won the 2011 Readers Favorite International Gold Medal Award in General Fiction for The Ghost of Atlanta.
Mr. Thompson also received the Georgia Author of the Year nomination for Philly Style and Philly Profile, from the Georgia Writers Association, and The Ghost of Atlanta. Mr. Thompson's fourth novel, Phantoms of Rockwood, was published in 2013.
Mr. Thompson is a former Creative Writing/Publishing Instructor at Atlanta's Evening at Emory University's Writers Studio.
Mr. Thompson is currently writing a screenplay for Philly Style and Philly Profile, which is the second book in the  Trilogy.
Mr. Thompson's is in the final stages of completing a fifth novel: Killer Kudzu.

"It is spreading and it is coming
for you. Beware the Killer Kudzu!"

                                   Coming In 2021!

Killer Kudzu is a pre-apocalyptic, semi-horror novel where science has gone terribly wrong. There is a southern twang in the characters voices and a distinctive down home feel in the locale. It is written with a social twist and a commentary about the relationship between blacks and whites in the  south. Killer Kudzu  is in the vain of the creeping menace like Pandemic, The Atlantic Gene, The Hot Zone  and The Day of the Triffids. Killer Kudzu feels a little Stephen King-Like!

                                              Stormy Winds
Coming in the Fall of 2022!

Stormy Winds explores Justin Camp’s perseverance or eventual surrender over destructive themes and events in his life. Julius Thompson is a huge William Shakespeare fan. Stormy Winds is Mr. Thompson’s Macbeth! The novel is dark and moody, but very entertaining with a vital message about overcoming or possibly surrendering to life’s varied crises.
